The Elephant Run 5K, Steven Michael's Mile and Willow's Fun Run

We found out we were having a sweet baby boy during the fall of 2022. It was the most exciting time! We then learned that he was in angels' arms, on November 8th, as we approached the 22nd week of our pregnancy. We received a late-loss basket from our friends, and that is how we were made aware of the wonderful support of Forget Me Not Baskets. The basket had such meaningful gifts and information during our initial grieving period and it really made an impact on our family.

Although we miss Grant and the thought of what his life would be like with us, every single day, we continue to fundraise as much money in his name as possible, in order to provide loss baskets to families who need them in the initial stage of their grief and pain.

Forget-Me-Not Baskets.

Forget-Me-Not Baskets provides bereavement items to families who have experienced a loss during pregnancy or childbirth. They have donated over 12,700 baskets to over 65 hospitals and obstetric offices nationwide, while concentrating mostly in Ohio. 

Each July, Forget-Me-Not Baskets hosts an Elephant Run 5K, 1 Mile and Kids Run.  I am raising funds to support their mission, and I will also be participating in the Elephant Run.  This race is so much more than just a race, it's also a day of remembrance for 100's of families.  In 2024, The Elephant Run SOLD OUT hosting 1,224 race participants and 100's of spectators.  You should check it out.  You can choose the in person or virtual option!
