Desmond's Heart is dedicated to helping those who are struggling with the loss of a loved one. The non-profit organization was established in 2018 by Desmond's father in honor of his son, who tragically lost his life in 2017. Our mission is to provide 'Help for the Hurting' and support individuals dealing with the memory of someone they have lost. Through their work, they aim to comfort those grappling with the absence of a cherished family member or friend.

FAQs
Why support this event? Walk into Spring with Desmond's Heart is hosted by the Georgia chapter of Desmond's Heart, expanding our mission to provide Help for the Hurting. We, the family of Desmond Lynn Graydon, were devastated by the senseless act of gun violence taking him away from us prematurely. In the process of grieving for his only son, his father chose to serve others who are burdened by grief with no access to support by establishing a non-profit, Desmond's Heart.
Where does the money go? All funds go towards the cost of professional counseling, services beyond counseling, and ministry-driven educational material. Desmond's Heart has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston (BGCGH). Also, Desmond's Heart will award a $1000 Scholarship to a high school graduate pursuing college in music, Visual Art, or Creative Design. Please visit www.desmondsheart.org for more information.
