I understand that running a road/trail race is a potentially hazardous activity. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running this event, including but not limited to falls, contacts with other participants, the effects of weather including high heat or humidity, the conditions of the trail, all such risks being known to and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act in my behalf, waive and release the Peter De Mott Peace Trot officials and volunteers, their representatives and successors from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event. I agree to withdraw from this event if so instructed by a race official.

Minor
I understand that running a road/trail race is a potentially hazardous activity. I agree that the minor, of whom I am a parent or guardian, will abide by any decision of a race official relative to his or her ability to safely complete the run.  I assume all risks associated with their running this event, including but not limited to falls, contacts with other participants, the effects of weather including high heat or humidity, the conditions of the trail, all such risks being known to and appreciated by me.  I further certify that my child is in good health and that he/she has no physical limitations which would preclude safe participation.

I, on behalf of my minor child, understand that the Peter De Mott Peace Trot do not provide any Accident of Medical Insurance and that I am required to provide it for my child.  I agree that I am financially responsible for any and all medical expenses associated with my child’s participation in this Race.

Having read this Statement, I, on behalf of the child whom I am a legal guardian, indemnify, and hold harmless, the Peter De Mott Peace Trot officials and volunteers, their employees, officers, agents, representatives and successors from any cause of action, claims, or demands of any nature whatsoever, which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators and assigns may not have, or have in the future against all the parties on account of personal injury, property damage, death or accident of any kind, including any act or omission of any third party (rescue squad, hospital, etc…), arising out of or in any way related to my participation in this event, whether that participation is supervised or unsupervised, howsoever the injury or damage is caused. I agree to have my child withdraw from this event if so instructed by a race official.
