I am joining the Christian Church in Illinois and Wisconsin ministry team to raise money for Global Ministries.
This year, all of the proceeds from the Mission Dash will support the essential work Global Ministries is doing across the globe to address and mitigate the devastating effects of climate change on the communities with least resources to adapt.
While it would be much easier to remain couch-bound, the climate-care effort of Global Ministries means so much to me that I am willing to go way, way, WAY out of my comfort zone and share my intention to join this 5K with my friends. I am the most unlikely 5K participant ever! But I'm asking for your contributions as I "train" to walk (and maybe even run-a-few-steps-and-hopefully-not-trip) through a 5K the weekend of August 27.
