Our 2024 Runway for Hope fundraiser produced a 55k donation to breast cancer research. Additionally, my participation in the event brought me and my family so much joy, optimism, and excitement. Thank you form the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported last year's event!
Breast cancer has changed me. I will never be the same. My life was always good and mostly worry-free. The lens I look through post-cancer, is full of worry and fear of the unknown. I question if my cancer has come back whenever I experience discomfort or pain. It's a heavy load to carry. However, the support and love I receive from family and community is my daily safety net instilling in me the will and determination to continue my fight. My fear is the devil, and the peace and encouragement I receive from others is my angel.
