North Main Athletic Complex – 1151 N. Main St, Holly Springs, NC

Whether you are a seasoned runner, or hoping to complete your first half marathon, you’ll absolutely love the challenge this course presents.  It offers a little bit of everything…through many of the neighborhoods....from fast flats to rolling hills…from open roads to green-ways and trails.....the Holly Springs Half Marathon - presented by The Endurrance Fence Co. carries runners through the best that our town has to offer.

The Half Marathon starts from Ting Park, the Holly Springs Salamanders’ baseball stadium, located at the North Main Athletic Complex. Runners will begin their journey just outside the stadium and proceed to and through the quaint neighborhoods of Bridgewater, Windcrest, and into Sunset Ridge.  The course then filters into the fast canopy-covered green-way through both Veterans & Jones parks and down to S. Main St., past Town Hall,  winding through the ball fields of Womble Park and down the time-banking (ie fast!) Carl Dean green-way to the Bass Lake Park entrance.

There will be no time to stop to feed the ducks as you run 2 miles around Bass Lake’s mulch trail before jumping back onto the challenging Sugg Farm trail to make your way back towards Womble Park.  From here, runners backtrack up S. Main Street, Jones & Veterans parks, and eventually finishing on a gentle downhill back towards the Salamanders’ stadium (with a short but challenging uphill finish!).
