Description
The Sandy Ground Project has been established by the New Jersey Fireman’s Benevolent Association, to build 26 playgrounds along the coast of New Jersey, New York & Connecticut in towns hit by Hurricane Sandy, to honor and provide a lasting memory of those 26 children and teachers who lost their lives on December 14, 2012. Milford is one of the towns lucky enough to receive one of these playgrounds in loving memory of 6 year old James Mattioli, who lost his life in the tragic Sandy Hook incident.
