All donations for Four on the 4th support Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia and their mission of enabling local youth, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential. They do this by providing high-yield, low-cost (or free) after-school and summer programming focused on the core outcomes of academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia seeks to fill out-of-school time with productive learning and engagement in a safe and supportive environment. All contributions help them reach their 2024 Fill the Gap Campaign goal of $955,500 and enables them to fulfill their mission of serving more than 1,000 youth with identified need this year.
$10 - Covers a field trip fee for one child
$25 - Buys art supplies for a classroom
$50 - Covers a week’s worth of healthy snacks for a classroom
$100 - Employs a tutor to help with academic remediation
About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia operates 10 Clubs in Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Franklin County, and Montgomery County. In 2023, 1,313 young people were served through their after-school program, summer program, and community outreach. They employ 100+ youth development and administrative staff members. They place primary emphasis on serving youth who need their services most. Club locations are determined through census track information, needs assessments, school assessments, and various other forms of community data. Club membership includes children and teens ages 6-18.
