Course Description:
The 5K Fun Run/Walk will start at Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and follow a scenic route over the pedestrian bridge into Omaha before turning back to complete the course. This event is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels, focusing on fun, fitness, and community. Near the starting line, there will be plenty of spaces for families and pets to relax and play while cheering on their participants. We’ll also have sponsor booths, including Creighton Physical Therapy and Wellness, along with tables featuring delicious snacks like bagels, fruit, and muffins. To keep the energy high, there will be music and water stations along the course, ensuring participants stay motivated and hydrated. Join us for a day filled with fitness, fun, and community spirit!
All registration fee proceeds go toward both the race and the Sherman-Steichen Scholarship fund for Pharmacy and Physical Therapy students at Creighton University, in commemoration of Brett Sherman and Nick Steichen.
