Alpha Psi Dog Dash and 5K Fun Run Sponsored by Purina

Alpha Psi is hosting their annual philanthropy event to benefit Safe Haven for Pets, a local organization which cares for the pets of abused women. Bring your pet and join Alpha Psi Veterinary Fraternity, Purina Pet and Food Products, FitVet, the class of 2019's Class Project, and the Student Association of Veterinary Medicine on Sunday, April 2nd, at The Wise Center College of Veterinary Medicine. The 5k race will start at 8:30am and will be a scenic route through South Farm with a few challenging hills. Shortly after the 5K runners take off there will be a dog obstacle course, the winners of which will receive a prize! Stick around after the race for prizes, food and music!

The Dog Walk/5K Run will be sponsored by Purina Pet and Food Products, and prizes will be awarded to some contestants, as well goody bags and information about healthy pet diets for your own beloved pet.

About Safe Haven: Studies have shown that in abusive relationships, sometimes the abused is reluctant to leave out of fear of having to leave their beloved pet behind. Safe Haven for Pets eliminates that fear by allowing the victims of domestic violence to have a safe, secure place to keep their beloved pet while they distance themselves from their abusive partner.
