Description

Join us on November 9th, 2024, for an exciting new event! The Treasure Coast Adventure Race & 5K will take you through the stunning trails and waterways of Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Participants can choose between a shorter distance 5K, a 4-hour or 8-hour adventure race, and for those ultra runner, we will also be hosting a 6-hour or 12-hour ultra race, creating a dynamic mix of competitors and a fun festival like atmosphere.

The 4-hour race is perfect for newcomers to adventure racing, families, or those looking for a shorter, more relaxed experience. In contrast, the 8-hour race offers a more competitive challenge, emphasizing navigation skills and endurance. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or new to the sport, this event promises an unforgettable adventure in a beautiful environment!

5K Race


Race Distance: 5K (3.1 Miles) Trail run

Start time: 8:30am

Awards will be given to the top three female and male finishers. This race will not have age group awards. 


 

4-Hour Adventure Race (Run/Bike/Paddle)

 

Race Distance: 12-24 Miles

Categories: Solo, Two-Person, Three-Person, and Four-Person Teams

Description: Teams of 1-4 will traverse land, water, and swamp in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, covering approximately 12-24 miles. Racers will use pre-plotted CalTopo maps to navigate to checkpoints while paddling, cycling, and trekking throughout the entire park. The checkpoints for the 4 Hour race will be more easily located than that of the 8 hour race as this is intended to be more beginner friendly. Checkpoints will be located at various natural landmarks, such as trail intersections, canals, bays, and wetlands, as detailed on the clue sheet. The race may feature single-track mountain biking trails, dirt or gravel roads, some paved roads, and flat-water kayaking/canoeing.

Disciplines: Trekking or Trail Running, Paddling, and Mountain Biking

Waivers: All participants must sign the USARA waiver.

 

8-Hour Adventure Race (Run/Bike/Paddle)


Race Distance: 24-48 Miles

Categories: Solo, Two-Person, Three-Person, and Four-Person Teams
