The Donnelly Dash Community Challenge

IN KEEPING WITH ALL CDC, FEDERAL & STATE MANDATES THE DONNELLY DASH IS CANCELED. 

There is no firm new date as of now. We will post updates here and send all information and options to everyone who is pre-registered as of  3/15/20. Thank you for your support, patience and understanding.

The mission of our event is to celebrate the lives of Tim & Kim Donnelly and to remember the spirit and heart that they shared with the community. Tragically taken on Feb 2, 2005 - they had a long-lasting and loving effect on everyone who met them and the many who shopped in their family jewelry store. 

We run & walk every year since then with their spirit in us. We offer a 3.5mi run, a 1.5mi walk, and a free kids run.

Since 2012 we have supported the Fairfield Police Explorers Post and the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund with donations from our event. 

This year, in memory of Tim and Kim, and the thousands of lives lost each year to gun violence, we are proud to partner with MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA - a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence.  Moms Demand Action is part of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country.  We hope you will consider additional donations this year to any of our non-profit partners.

Both our run and walk courses are very family-friendly, they are fairly flat & have very few turns. 

We thank our PREMIER PARTNER - the Gaelic American Club on 74 Beach Rd. for their generosity & support.

With your paid entry everyone 21 & over can join us after the event at the club for a free beer (must have your bib with you). Soft drinks are available for everyone and the 20 and younger.  Their kitchen will be open for brunch/lunch serving terrific food.

RACE SCHEDULE

SATURDAY 4/25 

• 10am-12  PRE reg pickup and late registration at SoundRunner 1596 Post Rd, Fairfield

SUNDAY 4/26 

• 7:45-9am   PRE reg pickup and late registration in the gym at Tomlinson Middle School
• 8:30am  FREE Kids Runs on the field behind the school. Directed by Donna Cramond
• 9am  START 1.5mi untimed walk/end of 3.5 mi late registration
• 9:10am  START 3.5mi timed run/walk
• 9:20am   Food & fluids available
• 10am   Awards, prizes, raffle

Our online registration ENDS 4/24 at 8pm. It is all-inclusive- There are no added online charges for either distance.

ENTRY FEES

• Ages 19-69 - $30 ($35 on race day)
• 18 & under  -  $20
• 70+  - $25.
• The kids run is free. 

LATE REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE  Saturday April 25 from 10am-12 at SoundRunner in Fairfield and Sunday 4/26 onsite from 7:45-9am.

• Great shirts will be available WITH SIZING GUARANTEED thru April 12. After that, any give-aways will be sized "as available".  Do your best to pre-register in time. 
• Great post-run/walk food will be on hand.

Marty Schaivone, with 30 years of experience (and a friend of the Donnelly family) has coordinated this event since Tim & Kim were taken from us. MS Running Productions directs & consults on more than 50 run & Walk events in CT, including the MADD Dash & Turkey Trot in Stratford, Great Pumpkin in Trumbull & the Colony Grill Hot Oil & Bigelow Tea Community Challenge in Fairfield.
