Description

The Treasured Life Initiative is a non-profit, faith-based outreach devoted to seeing an end to human sex trafficking on Cape Cod by raising awareness, promoting prevention and supporting survivor recovery. Founded by Marcia Donnelly and Jen Hevenor in early 2023, they have committed to bringing awareness about the existence of trafficking here on the Cape to adults, parents, students and other organizations through education and training. The long term goal of Treasured Life is to provide safe housing and recovery programs for survivors.

The recovery program is a two-phase process involving a short term 30-day ‘resting home' followed by a 1-2 year long term recovery program. The Resting Home will be the first phase of recovery by offering safe housing, medical/substance abuse support and legal counsel to self regulate before transitioning the  long term program. All will be offered at no cost to the survivor. This method of recovery has a strong success rate for survivors recovering and transitioning back into healthy, fulfilling lifestyles without relapsing back to their former life.

Not on My Cape Walk is the first fundraising event that will be hosted and will serve as a way to raise money for the 30-day resting home, promote awareness and bring the community together to voice that here on Cape Cod, sexual exploitation of any type is not tolerated or accepted.

Please join us in this mission, by walking, donating or spreading the event by word of mouth and social media.
