Description
Grab your team of 4 chasers to find our Chicken (Runner). This is much more than a scavenger hunt or road race. Teams will be given a GPS location to meet on July 27 at 8:00 AM. Once you are at this location you will be given your team color and shirts that match that color. You may be the Red Team or another team. Racers will communicate via the Marco Polo application to taunt each other as they complete challenges trying to find our Chicken (Runner). Teams will be chasing around from SLC to Draper (North to South) and Cottonwood Heights to Taylorsville (East to West). Each team will be given a UTA (Bus, Trax, Front Runner) day pass. Teams will be required to stay on sidewalks and follow pedestrian rules like no Jay Walking. If you break laws you will be immediately disqualified. Throughout the chase, you will be given challenges and clues to find the Rabbit. The last hour of the challenge will have the Rabbit turn on his tracker GPS and at that point, the real race will be on. Understand if the Chicken cuts you can cut him off because you are tracking him, thus making it easy to catch him but maybe not faster than another team. Because this is a first year Race/Chase we are doing it for free. No cash prize for 2024.

- 4 People
- 1 - Smart Phone with Enough Data
- Back Up Battery for Phone
- Marco Polo App
- Basic Knowledge on Google Maps
- UTA Day Pass $5

Course Layout
Course Restriction
This entire Chase will be restricted to Salt Lake County. Going outside of the County does you no good because the chicken will not leave the area.

Applications Required (Apps)
- Marco Polo (This is a live streaming app that allows you to see us when we post. It will also allow you to post in return. We will have two groups. One will be for us talking to everyone and the other group is to record and post your adventures along the way. We will make a video with yours and our adventures with these videos. )
- Life360 (This is an app that allows us to track you and give you shots of where the chicken is on the course. Eventually the the chicken will turn on his location fully and allow you to try to hunt him down without any restrictions. We wont turn it on fully until 10AM so the chase will be longer. We don’t want it to be too easy.)
Items Required
- Hydration Pack Per Runner (Fill Please)
- Smart Phone (Min of two per team)
- Battery Backup Charger (To keep phone alive unless it has a strong battery)
- UTA Day Pass ($5 fee at any bus or Trax Station, this allows you to ride a bus or Trax or Front Runner all day)
Items Recommended
- Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen
- Same Color Tshirts for your Team. You can find shirts at Dollar Tree or Deseret Industries that are one color. Not required but will make it more fun.
