Description
The IceBreaker Challenge is a one of a kind Capital District running/walking road race challenging runners and walkers against rowers from the Albany Rowing Center. Runners/walkers will travel along the Corning Preserve Bicycle Path while rowers from the Albany Rowing Center will race alongside in shells on the Hudson River. It is also a major fundraiser for the Albany Rowing Center, helping us to expand access to rowing and to the Hudson River for community members of all ages. Come join us for this unique and exciting event at the Albany Rowing Center Boathouse in the Corning Preserve.
This year we will be providing souvenir t-shirt to the first 250 registrants, as well as prizes from a local vendor for all race category winners!
Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. Kids run starts at 9:30 a.m., and 5K starts at 10:00 a.m.
Packet pick-up and last-chance registration will be Friday, March 29 from 4-7p.m. at Fort Orange Brewing, or race day beginning at 8:00 a.m.
