May the Course Be With You 5k & Fun Run

Join Oklahoma Race Company and Norman Parks and Rec for May the Course Be with You, a Star Wars-themed 5K and Fun Run on May the 4th at 2:00pm at Legacy Park. Legacy Park has a flat and fast course that runners love!  This family- and dog-friendly event encourages participants to dress up in their favorite Star Wars costumes and enjoy a fun-filled morning of running, community, and galactic adventure. 
 

Whether you're a Jedi, Sith, or just a fan of the galaxy far, far away, this event is perfect for all ages. 

Try a special Star Wars themed brew from 405 Brewing Co (ages 21 & up). 🍺

The 5k is a timed event and the Fun Run will be untimed.  Racers will get:

✔️A super cool custom race bib

✔️A super cool medal - first 250 registrations - the light sabers change colors on the medal too! 

✔️A dry fit race shirt (adult sizes only) for the first 200 registrations - the light sabers change colors in the sun! Registered kids will get a Star Wars Pez dispenser! 

✔️Star Wars themed fun! 🌑

Why register you ask?

✔️The top male, top female and one random lucky participant will get a FREE pair of Tifosi sunglasses 😎

✔️Run with our  jambassadors who will keep runners in the spirit of the theme during the race

✔️You'll be able to break out that Star Wars costume you thought you'd never wear again for the COSTUME CONTEST at the finish line party!

✔️Start working on your best Wookie RRWWWGG and RAWRGWAWGGR sounds for the Chewbacca sound CONTEST!

✔️Run and hang out with fellow Star Wars fans (but if you aren't a fan that's okay too!)

✔️Because there is no try, only do!
 

REGISTER FOR EACH RACE IN THE SERIES!  This race is race #2 of 5 of a five-race 2025 holiday series in Norman.  Register for all five and get a custom medal hanger FREE.  Medal hangers are also available for purchase for $20.00.  REGISTRATION IS OPENING SOON FOR THESE RACES. We will track registrations for each race for you.
