Welcome to the 5th Annual Tidewater Striders Duathlon!

RACES:

Sprint Duathlon - (2 Mile Run- 12.4 Mile Bike - 2 Mile Run)

Novice Sprint Duathlon (Multi-sport Beginners who have competed in less than 4 multi-sport events). The same distance as the Sprint, this race will be run at the same time as the Sprint. Novice Participants will not qualify for Age Group awards.

Kids Mini Duathlon (1 Mile Run- 5 Mile Bike Ride -1/2 mile run)

Bike Racks will be available and ready race morning by 7am

TIME LIMITS:

Sprint --- The race starts at 7:30 AM. Kids Mini starts at 9:15 am. 3hr time limit for the sprint, 2 hr time limit for the mini

COURSE:

Out and back course on the closed 2-lane roadway at the Dismal Swamp Trail Park in Chesapeake.

FLUIDS AND FOOD:

There will be 2 aid stations. One at the transition area, and one at the one mile run turnaround with Water and Gatorade

AMENITIES and POST-RACE:

Premium Race Shirts for men and women will be provided and medals for all Finishers. On-site hospitality and refreshments with an Awards Ceremony following the race.

AWARDS:

Sprint Duathlon: The top 3 overall Male and Female and the top 3 males and females in 10-year age groups will receive awards

Novice Sprint: Top 3 Overall male and Female in the Novice sprint Duathlon

Mini Duathlon: Age Groups awards: 9 and under, 10-12 and 13-15

REGISTRATION:

Must Register by June 8th for a guaranteed Race Shirt. Registration will be open until Friday, June 27, 2025 at 9pm. There will be no race day Registration.

PACKET PICKUP:

Race day packet pickup starting at 6:30 am

STRIDER PLUS:

Automatically applied at checkout through June 28th.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS:

A Club membership discount of $5.00 is available up to June 28th. Discounts are automatically applied on the payment page during registration. You should use the account you used to register for the club to apply for this discount. We will also attempt to match on name/date of birth.
