Griz Tunnel Director High Priority

Details

This volunteer position will have the responsibility of sitting at the top of the Griz Football Tunnel to direct the Racers at the beginning of the obstacle race. They will be handling traffic control in releasing racers in waves with correspondence to our schedule of race times.

At the beginning of the Griz Tunnel within the Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

Volunteer Table Check-in High Priority

These volunteers will assist racers in checking into the obstacle race, and directing them where they need to be for each race category.

Details

These volunteers will be responsible for handing out trophies/awards to finishers at the finish line of the obstacle race.

On the West side of the north end zone of the Grizzly-Washington stadium.

Kids Obstacle Course Volunteers

Water Attendants

Water Attendant - M Trail High Priority

This volunteer will be providing water to any racer, making sure all of the disposable cups are filled with water for racers to take, and providing encouragement to the racers.

At the beginning of the M trail to the East of the Stadium up against the mountain

These volunteers will help racers cross campus drive safely toward the M trail, and another crossing campus drive safely from the log climb to the compound on the north west side of the stadium.

Obstacles

Slider Obstacle Volunteer High Priority

October 4, 2025

Details

This volunteer will assist racers in completing the Slider Obstacle, ensure racers are going in the right direction, and provide encouragement.

Racers will put their hands on a pair of sliders and push themselves with their feet from the 10 yard line to the 20 yard line, and back. then head to student section.

Location

10-yard line closest to the South End Zone of the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Box Jump Volunteer High Priority

Details

This volunteer will assist racers in directing them through this obstacle and making sure racers are going in the right direction.

Location

In the Washington-Grizzly stadium Student Section Racers complete either 10 box jumps or 20 single leg step ups. - Then direct to next obstacle.

Heavy Ball Slam Obstacle Volunteer High Priority

Details

This volunteer will be overlooking and assisting racers at the 3rd obstacle. They will also be ensuring the racer is going the right direction.

** Must be able to lift 15 lbs **

Location

Top of the stairs on the second level of the south east side of the Washington-Grizzly stadium. (near section 220)

Weighted Jump Rope Obstacle Volunteer High Priority

Details

This volunteer will be overlooking and assisting racers complete 15 rope jumps. They will also be ensuring the racer is going the right direction.

Location

Bottom of the stairs coming from the second level concourse, near section 127 of the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Sandbag Carry Obstacle Volunteer High Priority

Details

This volunteer will help direct racers where to go in this sand bag carrying obstacle, provide encouragement, and ensure every racer is safely completing the obstacle.

** Must be able to lift at least 65 lbs **

Location

At the North-West corner of the Washington-Grizzly stadium, overlooking all of section 223.

Bleacher Weave Obstacle Volunteer High Priority

October 4, 2025

Details

This position will have a few volunteers in different parts of sections 101-105, directing the racers, as well as providing encouragement and assistance to racers in these sections of the stadium.

Location

These volunteers will be along the west side of the Washington-Grizzly stadium bleachers along the sections of 102-104.

Rope Climb Obstacle Volunteers High Priority

October 4, 2025

Details

This position will consist of two volunteers making sure the racers complete the 15 foot Rope Climb obstacle, ensuring the safety of each racer, providing encouragement, and managing the flow of the race.

Location

This will be at the south side entrance of the Washington-Grizzly stadium, underneath the Jumbotron.

A Frame Obstacle Volunteers High Priority

October 4, 2025

Details

This volunteer will oversee the A Frame obstacle of the race, providing encouragement, as well as ensuring each racer is safely completing the obstacle.

Location

In the grass area just outside of the south side entrance of the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

M Trail Climb Volunteers High Priority

October 4, 2025

Details

This position will consist of three different volunteers, one being at the start of the M trail, making sure each racer is going in the right direction.

Another positioned at the top of the M trail making sure the racers are turning to go back down the M trail, and providing encouragement.

** Must be willing to hike up M trail to the top, and stay there until relief **
The last volunteer will be at the start of Ken Williams trail, directing racers in the right direction upon coming down the M trail, and providing encouragement to the racers **

Location

1) Start of the M trail near the pavilion restrooms
2) Top of the M trail, at the M
3) Start of Kim Williams trail right after the M trail.

Kim Williams trail Volunteers High Priority

October 4, 2025

Details

These two volunteers will help oversee that the racers are safely completing the Kim Williams trail, and make sure each racer is going in the right direction.

One volunteer will be at the turn behind the motor vehicle shop along Kim Williams trail to make sure racers are going the right direction.

The other volunteer will be in the grassy area near the Northeast side of the stadium along Kim Williams trail to direct them to the Log Wall Climb obstacle.

1) At the turn behind the motor vehicle shop of Kim Williams Trail
2) At the grass area near the Northwest side of the Washington-Grizzly stadium along Kim Williams Trail.

Log Wall Climb Obstacle Volunteers High Priority

Details

This volunteer will assist racers in completing the Log Wall Climb obstacle, ensuring they safely finish the obstacle while providing encouragement.

Location

In the grass Area across campus drive on the North west side of the Washington-Grizzly stadium along Kim Williams Trail.

Sand Bag Toss Obstacle Volunteers High Priority

These Volunteers will assist racers in completing the Sand Bag Toss obstacle, ensuring safety and providing encouragement to the racers.

** Must be able to lift 65 lbs **

Location

In the North west compound, outside of the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Farmers Carry Obstacle Volunteers High Priority

Details

This volunteer will ensure that the racer is completing the farmers carry obstacle, making sure they are directed correctly, and providing assistance as needed.

** must be able to lift 45 lbs **

Location

Along the South 30 yard line of the turf field inside the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Overhead Carry Obstacle Volunteer High Priority

Details

This volunteer will be responsible for making sure each racer safely completes the overhead carry obstacle inside the stadium.

** Must be able to lift 45 lbs **

Location

Will be along the south 40 yard line on the turf field of the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Tire Flip Obstacle Volunteers High Priority

Details

These volunteers will be responsible for making sure every racer safely completes the tire flipping obstacle, and providing assistance to the racers with the tires as needed.

** Must be able to lift 150 lbs **

Location

At the 50 yard line of the turf field, inside the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Football Catch & Weave Obstacle Volunteers High Priority

Details

These volunteers will be responsible for assisting each racer in completing the football catch and juke obstacle of the race, providing encouragement, and making sure they are going the right direction.

Location

Along the North 20 yard line, inside the hash marks of the 10 yard line, and in the north end zone on the turf field of the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Grizzly Helmet Volunteer High Priority

October 4, 2025

Details

This volunteer will make sure all the racers run through the inflatable Griz football helmet before the finish of the race, providing directional assistance, and encouragement to the racers.

In the North end zone of the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Touchdown (finish line) Volunteers High Priority

These volunteers will help any racers finishing the race, providing water, and more.

Location

These volunteers will be located toward the East side of the North end zone in the Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Manage Log Carry Obstacle - Racers will carry a log and place back where they picked it up to begin

Combat Crawl Obstacle High Priority

Details

Racers will Crawl under Cargo Net - Racers will have to crawl from one side of cargo net to the other while staying under the cargo net start to finish

Corn Hole Obstacle High Priority

Details

Manage Corn Hold Obstacle - Make sure that the racer completes the corn hole toss correctly. Bag on the board racer advances.

This Obstacle is in the North compound just west of the Stadium

Paint Ball High Priority

Details

Racers must grab a paint sponge ball and hit the target to advance.

Location

This obstacle is in the grass near the Kim Williams Trail to the North of the Stadium across the street from the North Concourse

Agility Rope Hop High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Racers must hop over each bungee cord to get from one side to the other without falling
